Frequently Asked Questions

  • Deposits: A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required for booking.

  • Lodging: Our private, three bedroom and two bathroom lodge is fully furnished and equipped with TV and wi-fi access. Bedding and towels are provided. No smoking is allowed inside the lodge or its attached garage.  If damages to property are incurred, additional fees will be charged. Our lodge is pet-friendly and we encourage you to bring your dogs, but we ask that you please keep them off the furniture- including beds-or an additional cleaning fee of $200 will be charged.

  • Meals: Meals are not included, but can be requested for an additional charge. Our lodge has a fully furnished kitchen and grill for use. Grocery stores and restaurants are within a 15- minute driving distance.

  • What to bring

        Gun: 3 round max plugged firearm

        Ammo: Approximately one box of shells per hunt. 3 inch 2's -5's for duck and 3 inch BB  2's - 3.5's BB for goose.

        Clothing: Max-4, Realtree, Advantage Wetlands and Optifade Wetlands are some popular camoflauge patterns. Tops and hats must be camouflage. Waders are encouraged but not required. Hand warmers for boots and gloves.                          

  • It is best to come prepared for a range of weather types. Our temperatures range from 15 to 50 degrees.  It is best to bring layers that can be put on and removed as needed.

  • Hunts: Our package hunts (November-January) include three morning hunts and two evening hunts. An upland game hunt, if scheduled, can be either a morning or evening hunt depending on conditions. Morning hunts usually last until mid-morning (10:30-11 AM) and evening hunts run early afternoon until dark. February goose hunts include one hunt per day. Generally a morning hunt, but can be variable based on bird patterns. It is expected that all guests, if able, help with setting up and tearing down the decoy spreads.

  • Transportation: Transportation to and from hunts is the responsibility of the guest.

  • Licensing:  Waterfowl- Licenses must be on your person during all hunts.

  • 3) State of Kansas HIP stamp

  • 4) Federal Waterfowl Stamp

  • Bird Processing: A lighted bird cleaning station is provided on the north side of the lodge. Hunters are responsible for cleaning their own birds. Freezer bags are provided and a large freezer is located inside the lodge for meat storage. A cooler is recommended for transport. It is the responsibility of the hunter to know transport rules for your state and/or airline.
